Creating local partnerships

Funeral Directions is an online service for individuals & families that need to make detailed arrangements for the loss of a loved one or to think about and plan their own Funeral (and other affairs) for the future. With between 50 and 90 separate decisions to make when planning a funeral and estate administration, Funeral Directions is designed to reduce the emotional toll on family members and guide them during this process. At the heart of the platform is a built-in directory connecting you with local based companies to assist and plan Funeral arrangements.

We are looking forward to getting the directory numbers up across the country so that anyone across the UK can search for companies to assist them in their time of need and find a local connection. Local partnerships are key and play a big part of Funeral Directions. Not only does it offer businesses local exposure but it helps those who need their services at a very difficult time know that the people they are connecting understand their situation and can sympathise with them during a trying time.

Matthew Steiner, Managing Director of Aetas (Listed on Funeral Directions) says

“This is an area of planning that is often overlooked or left until the last minute by families and am delighted to be working with Viv and the team at Funeral Directions to help widen knowledge in this area of planning”

Bringing all the information required following the death of a loved one; Funeral planning, Estate management, Bereavement & Grief support and everything else related to death and loss, was important to us. Allowing people to have options, to find out the details they don’t understand, take the stress away – there were so many reasons that Funeral Directions was born and we are happy with the new look as well as the positive feedback received so far. The team at Funeral Directions are very excited at how many people it will help over the coming years.

Viv King, Founder of Funeral Directions says

“Our collaboration with companies like Aetas, and many others already on Funeral Directions, is another example of how we continue to develop relationships with quality professional services providers who help our users to make key decisions at a time when they need advice, support and reassurance. I am looking forward to growing the number of businesses on our new look directory, it is another great resource for those dealing with loss or planning for the future”

The rebranding and redesign of the Funeral Directions brand and site has got off to an amazing start. The site is worlds apart from the site we started with. In it’s new form, information is much easier and quicker to access. With everything being taken back to nothing, and in essence starting again, Viv and the team felt this was the best approach not just for the industry, but for the end user, offering a central hub of support and information.
