Charity Information

Forces charity, Pilgrim Bandits organises gruelling expeditions for injured service and emergency personnel, many of whom are amputees or have experienced trauma while on the line of duty. With a no sympathy approach, Pilgrim Bandits’ motto is ‘Always A Little Further’ – pushing veterans beyond what they thought was possible to build confidence.

The charity offers the rewards of belonging to a team, encouragement, belief and the power of humour over pain. Pilgrim Bandits pushes those that have already endured so much to go beyond endurance – to embrace life again and in so doing inspire others. By pushing injured men and women into physically and mentally demanding situations that they would not have dreamed possible; kayaking extraordinary distances, jumping from aircraft, running races, trekking across inhospitable terrain, self confidence is restored and self-belief instilled.

Products, Services and Information
Pilgrim Bandits supports injured servicemen and women, police personnel and people from the Emergency Services family as they recover from life-changing injuries, or work to overcoming mental health issues that are affecting their daily lives.
The charity invites them to take part in physical challenges and expeditions that push them to the limits of what they can do, to show them just how much they can do. And to remind them of how much they love doing it.
On an expedition with Pilgrim Bandits, veterans are part of a bigger group who can help them to realise what they are capable of. What's more, people who are injured soon become those that are giving help. Above all, the Pilgrim Bandits community support each other and rely on each other, believing in the power of humour in the face of adversity.
Always a little further.
