Finders International was established in 1997 by Managing Director Danny Curran and are global probate genealogists that trace missing heirs and beneficiaries to estates, funds and assets worldwide.
We offer a free, effective and efficient next of kin tracing service for the public sector, including Hospices, hospitals, councils, care homes, coroners, housing associations and charities, often locating heirs in 24 hours. The speed of our service means families are able to attend the Deceased’s funeral and inherit the estate sooner, as well as saving the public sector valuable time and money. Without our assistance, these cases could remain unsolved for years, and sometimes forever.
Our dedicated Public Sector Team Case Managers have received training from Mind, Cruse Bereavement Care and Dementia Friends, to ensure that we deal with our clients as sensitively as possible.
All our advice and quotations are free of charge or obligation. There is no minimum estate value and all our work is undertaken at our own risk and expense. We can also provide access to free legal advice for next of kin from our selected panel of independent SRA regulated solicitors.

Next of Kin Tracing Service
We offer a free, effective and efficient next-of-kin tracing service for the public sector, including councils, hospitals, care homes, coroners, housing associations and charities, often locating heirs in 24 hours. The speed of our service means families are able to attend the Deceased’s funeral and inherit the estate sooner, as well as saving the public sector valuable time and money. Without our assistance, these cases could remain unsolved for years, and sometimes forever.
Funeral Fund
In 2016, we launched the Finders International Funeral Fund (FIFF), the first charitable fund of its kind. Local Authorities and NHS trusts who arrange Public Health Funerals can apply for a subsidy payment towards the funeral. These will be cases where there genuinely are no known next of kin (rather than next of kin simply refusing to pay) and Finders will carry out research to confirm this.
Free Training Events
To further assist the public sector, we also run regular training events free of charge throughout the year. We cover different areas including Deputyship, Bereavement and Public Health Act Funerals. Visit our website for information on our upcoming events.
